Link guide

Branded short links on your own domain

Swap a generic short link for one that carries your name, like go.yourbusiness.co.uk/offer.

Why branded links work better

People are rightly wary of links they cannot read. A short link that starts with your own name shows exactly who it is from, so it looks less like spam and more like something worth opening.

Branded links also keep your name in front of people every time a link is shared, copied or printed.

Choosing a domain

The simplest option is a subdomain of a website you already own, such as go., link. or l. in front of your main domain. Some businesses buy a separate short domain just for links. Either works with Orbis Link.

  • go.yourbusiness.co.uk
  • link.yourcharity.org.uk

Connecting it takes a few minutes

Add your domain in Orbis Link, then add two records with whoever manages your DNS: a TXT record to prove you own it and a CNAME (or A record) to point it at us. Press “Check DNS” and we do the rest, including a free security certificate so every link uses HTTPS. Our step-by-step guide covers the common DNS providers.

Included with Pro and Bulk

Pro and Bulk plans include three branded domains at no extra cost. Enterprise customers can have more. You choose a domain each time you create a link, and can set where people go if they open the domain on its own.
